Areas of Need

The American Lung Association offers many opportunities for foundations and corporations to help save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease. Your organization can support research, education, awareness, engagement, and advocacy efforts in the following areas critical to achieving our mission.

Defeating Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of both women and men in the United States. It also has one of the lowest five-year survival rates of all cancer types. Our goal is to reduce lung cancer deaths and improve quality of life. With the advent of new lung cancer screening guidelines and other advances in personalized medicine, this is a critical moment in time. Learn more about ways we are fighting lung cancer.

Improving the Air We Breathe
