Jon Rosen started volunteering for the American Lung Association in Hudson Valley, New York in 1983. He has been an outstanding volunteer at the local, state, regional and national level, always serving with integrity, passion, dedication and collaboration.
Jon has participated annually in the New York City LUNG FORCE Walk since its inception as Captain of "Team Board Walkers," which raised over $20,000 in its first three years.
As president of Impact Communications, the media and presentation skills training practice he founded in 1980, Jon designed, developed and delivered pro bono media training for the public policy staff and pro bono sales presentation skills training for the development team of the Lung Association of the Northeast. He has also provided crisis management, crisis communications and media relations consulting at the national, regional and local levels throughout his 35 years as a Lung Association volunteer leader.
He has consistently been a strong advocate and has been featured in articles about air quality and tobacco control in local publications and online following the release of the annual "State of the Air" and "State of Tobacco Control" reports.
He was a founding member of the New York State Marketing & Communications Committee, focusing on external messaging to grow the Lung Association's revenue base, advancing and expanding the mission's impact throughout the state.
He will being serving as a Lung Association National Board member starting July 1.
He is a true volunteer.
