The New York Consortium includes New York University (NYU) Langone Medical Center, Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medical Center.
The New York University clinical trials component is located in the NYU Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), at 27th Street and First Avenue. The NYU ACRC includes Dr. Joan Reibman as the site principal investigator. Karen Carapetyan, bilingual in English and Spanish, is the Clinical Coordinator. Additional pulmonary specialists, trained in asthma and COPD also participate in these studies. Support nursing staff are provided by the CTSI. The team has a longstanding experience in the implementation of clinical trials in asthma and COPD having been members of the ACRC since its inception. They are also experienced in Industry-sponsored as well as investigator-initiated studies for mild- severe asthma and COPD.
